A free and easy to use service of benefit to school mediation schemes
We produce a detailed report outlining the benefits of your service. This evidence can really help increase support for mediation within the school, with both students and staff. It often proves how mediation directly prevents cases of escalated conflict, violence and exclusion.
What does it involve?
The service is based on two simple steps, completion of (1) Monitoring Forms and (2) Follow Up Interviews:
1. Monitoring Form
This is to be completed by mediators after each mediation to track the number mediations taking place and how many result in an agreement (or apology). Completed forms are returned to us along with completed interview forms.
2. Follow-up Interview Forms:
Follow-up interviews with mediation parties take place two weeks after the initial mediation. The interviews are to be carried out by a mediator in the service who wasn’t involved in the initial mediation. Completed forms are returned to us along with completed monitoring forms.
.
What happens when you send us back completed forms?
When we receive forms back from a miniumum of ten mediations we produce a report for you. This report neatly presents the effectiveness of your service within the school or highlights areas where further development would be beneficial . You can see some examples below of reports we’ve produced (files are in .pdf format):

It's reinforced the concept of mediation as a core part of the school's ethos. We would strongly recommend this service to others.
