Find out more about our event for mediators at the Media Museum in Bradford.
Hi, I’m Sanha and I’m a mediator from Greenhead High School in Keighley. In October our mediation group went to the Media Museum in Bradford to take part in a big event for mediators. The event involved over 50 students from Greenhead High School and Oakbank School in Keighley and Parklands School who made the journey over from Lancashire. During the morning we were split into groups and took part in workshops which gave us a refresher on our mediation skills. After lunch, we went back into workshops and learnt how to do “On the Spot Mediation”, which we could use out in the community with friends and family. Our school and Oakbank School have new mediation services so it was really good to meet with the students from Parklands School as they already have a mediation service that is running very successfully in their school. Each of the schools had to do a presentation to the rest of the groups which took a lot of guts from the mediators who did it. I really enjoyed the day and made some new friends who I hope to see at the next event!
