Congrats to mediators from Parkland's High School, Chorley, who recently received Diana Anti-Bullying Award Certificates
We’re very proud of our Parkland’s members for winning these certificates. We can’t say we’re suprised knowing how dedicated the mediators and staff are at reducing conflict and bullying. Parklands came to our Bradford Peer Power event and were an example to schools just starting out with their mediation schemes. Here’s a bit more about the award from the Diana Award Website:
‘The Diana Anti-Bullying Award recognises that bullying is one of the most devastating problems faced by today’s schools and it leaves victims unhappy and frightened, sometimes with devastating consequences However, thousands of young people across the UK do amazing work to combat the problem, and the Diana Antibullying Award recognises the outstanding contributions they make to help eradicate bullying in their schools or communities.’
Here’s a reaction from some of the Parklands mediators:
“We know that we have been trying our best at being Peer Mediators and thats why we received this Award” Saif
“hopefully now once we have the Award people will think more of our Peer Mediation service.” Rachael
“I was surprised and very happy to get the award” Sian
